Liquidate a Promissory Note
Once you've collected your final payment, it's time to liquidate the asset.
Liquidating a secured or unsecured promissory note is the final step in the investment process, signaling the completion of the investment cycle and allowing you to access your returns. If your note is held in an Entrust account, the liquidation process is simple and straightforward.
Note: Only complete this process for your final payment on a private lending or real estate note. Submitting this form will result in the removal of the asset(s) from your account. If it’s not your final payment, please use the Deposit Coupon instead.
Follow this step-by-step guide to complete your liquidation request.
- Complete and Submit the Required Form: Fill out the Note Payoff Form with all necessary details. If applicable, provide wire instructions or check deposit details to the borrower. Submit the form to Entrust for processing.
- Provide Payment Instructions to the Borrower: If the borrower needs instructions on where to send the repayment funds, send them our Delivery Instructions.
- Entrust Liquidates the Note: Once the borrower submits the funds and Entrust processes the liquidation, your account will be updated accordingly.
By following these steps, you can successfully liquidate a promissory note in your Entrust account.
