Entrust Employee Spotlight: Esme
Estimated reading time: 4 minutes
Meet Esme, she is the Executive Administrative Assistant at The Entrust Group who has been with the company for over 4 years. Continue reading to learn more about her and what makes her unique:
What do you enjoy about working for the company?
Everyone at Entrust is really friendly and easy to work with. The Admin Team gets to interact with people in every department, on a daily basis. I’m also apart of the Fun Committee, where we plan events for our staff to enjoy and promote our company culture.
What special skills do you have?
I have very good research skills, especially with the DocStar software program. I've become a quick learner and flexible worker, since having experienced changes in admin team over the last few years and dealing with new phone systems and bar coding documents for scanning. I was also apart of the Cash Management department for a short period of time, and that's where I learned about processing wires and ACHs and creating recurring payment authorizations.
What is the most common question you come across at Entrust?
I am usually asked by a staffer if we’ve received a certain email in the TEG inbox or package from overnight shipping. Also, I'm usually asked if we can get a certain office product. From clients, I am asked where a form is located online or if their email or fax was received at the office.
Do you know any random facts about the IRA industry?
Borrowing from your IRA is a prohibited transaction.
What is your favorite type of food?
Thai and Indian.
Do you have any hobbies?
Going to the movies, going to the gym, traveling, finding new restaurants to try out, going to comedy shows, and cooking.
Where are you from originally?
San Diego.
What do you enjoy about living in your state?
I like the weather in California. Generally it’s nice and sunny and the rain is tolerable. No need to worry about snow. Also, living in the Bay Area, I feel like there’s always something fun to do: going to museums and art galleries, seeing plays and musicals (especially at the Berkeley Rep), watching films that the rest of the country doesn’t always get to see, trying different kinds of food (from Vietnamese to Ethiopian to Peruvian), going to parks…I could go on and on.
A fun fact about you?
On the weekends, I volunteer at a local radio station. I’ve been volunteering there for almost 12 years. Usually I do behind-the-scenes work, but occasionally I play music and interview people on the air.
